The views of the surrounding mountains were really amazing. and if you're an animal lover, the dogs and cats roaming around brought some charm. However, the overall experience was marred by the run-down facilities and poor service. Sadly, it felt more like a place trying to be a resort than an actual one.

Rooms
5.0
My room felt dark and shed-like, with no air conditioning and inadequate sealing against mosquitoes. The lack of cleanliness was evident, with gecko droppings on the bed. not an inviting experience at all.
Service
5.0
Upon arrival, I was met with barking dogs and little assistance from the owner with my luggage. When I decided to leave early, I was forced to pay the full amount. the owner’s demeanor was quite off-putting.
Location
5.0
The remote location offered a glimpse of local Fiji culture, which was a positive. but the neglected surroundings detracted from the charm.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited, and the general atmosphere around the area was far from pleasant. it didn't inspire a desire to eat on-site.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were poorly maintained, with an algae-filled pool and dirty shower water. The overall appearance resembled a scrapyard. definitely not what I expect from a resort.

My stay at Stoney Creek Resort was a mixed bag. The mountain views were stunning, but the hotel felt neglected and unwelcoming. I experienced a few glimpses of charm in the local wildlife and some basic comforts in my room, but overall, it fell short of expectations.

Rooms
5.0
The room was quaint, with a plug-in fan to keep cool and mosquito nets for comfort. However, the spa bath water was an unsettling yellow-brown color and the shower had mould on the ceiling, which was concerning.
Service

While the host's wife was friendly, I found the owner to be quite abrasive during interactions, especially regarding payments. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere, especially when I was made to pay for every little thing upon leaving.
Location
5.0
The remote location offered a taste of 'real' Fiji, which was a nice change of pace. Unfortunately, arriving to barking dogs and a rundown entrance did not give a good first impression.
Dining
5.0
The dining options weren't highlighted, but I did enjoy some freshly baked croissants. However, the need to pay for transportation to reach better food venues was a downside.
Facilities
5.0
There were some facilities like a pool and WiFi, but the pool was not inviting due to algae issues and the WiFi was very limited in range.

The facilities were disappointing; the pool was dirty, and the general condition of the hotel seemed neglected.
